South Florida Overview
Lauderdale by the Sea is a small resort town on the Atlantic Coast of Florida in the Fort Lauderdale area with a population of only about 7000. The town sits on land that is essentially a long narrow island separated from the mainland by the Intracoastal Waterway. Area attractions include the beach and pier, water sports and other activities, shopping and dining.

Lauderdale by the Sea offers loads of activities for visitors including shopping, deep sea fishing, snorkeling, diving, biking, rollerblading, kayaking, and paddle boarding. The city also boasts a cooking school and a dance school. The more laid-back vacationer can sunbathe, take long walks on the beach or visit a spa.
Getting to South Florida
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) has over 300 departure and 300 arrivals each day to and offers nonstop service to over 100 U.S. cities and international service to Canada, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Mexico, Latin America and Europe. Many hotels in the greater Fort Lauderdale area offer free shuttles from the airport to the hotel for guests.
